Miriam Penthouse, Bengaluru

The transformation of a Bengaluru penthouse into a garden home was intended to express two ideas : first to create a deliberate connective tissue of a house rather than the enforced compaction of an apartment, and second, to amplify the ground texture and sky and divert the confining enclosure into a landscape exposure. The plan is a collective of outdoor rooms, each fragmented to express an incompleteness within itself. The necessity of the space beyond, makes the small roof house feel more generous and constantly enlarging.
